From post earrings dangle feathers and chains. In one earring, two chains loop around with the feathers falling from the points they connect.

The chains and feathers represent a protective circle, enveloping the protectee.

In the other earring, the feathers and chains dangle freely. They start from the same point, but they diverge to their own paths. They are setting out to protect something, or someone else.
